We were engaged to improve parking access and pedestrian circulation in the Metung town centre.
This involved reviewing the pedestrian and bicycle network, traffic movement surveys and conducting duration-of-stay analysis of the existing parking network.
Extensive community consultation also played a key role in the development of our 5, 10 and 20 year projections for the township. This encompassed in-depth one-on-one consultations, workshops, public forums and drop-in sessions.
Our final recommendations proposed introduction of a pedestrian shared zone on the main street, removal of some parking areas in the town centre and improved enforcement of parking restrictions.
