Adelaide has graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Environments. Adelaide is passionate about sustainability and is a natural leader and communicator. She enjoys developing innovative solutions and working with industry professionals in collaborative environments to tackle the many challenges that come with her role. She is often seen building strong relationships and successfully delivers waste engineering projects at SALT. Adelaide is an accredited Green Star Professional.

Senior (Traffic) Engineer

Ayman William

Ayman has nine years industry experience in both Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Business from Swinburne University. He is a design enthusiast and relishes learning opportunities, always the first to raise his hand when a special or different project presents itself. Ayman has extensive industry experience having held previous traffic engineering and management roles at several local and state government authorities.

Senior (Traffic & Transport) Engineer

Bailey Byrnes

Bailey has eight years of industry experience in local and state government. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and Diploma of Sustainability from Swinburne University. Deciphering problems is what energises Bailey in her quest to solve the ultimate puzzle of transport planning. She is well known for her depth of knowledge and admirable communication skills having spoken at various conferences and events. Her passion for people is displayed through mentorship of staff in strategic thinking and the strong bonds she develops with clients.

Chris Asmanis

Chris joined SALT with a background in local government, specialising in civil project delivery. He appreciates the learning opportunities that come with working alongside a diverse range of industry professionals and has in-depth knowledge of design. Being generous with his time, he aids his clients through projects to reach mutually beneficial results.
Chris has completed his Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) at Swinburne University.

Senior Engineer | Waste and Environment

Christian Lomax

Christian is a Senior Engineer of SALT with 12 years’ experience in the waste, development and construction industries. He is a highly motivated and results oriented individual who adds plenty of charisma to our team. With a local government background, Christian brings an in-depth knowledge of the project management, strategic planning and environmental compliance aspects of waste. As well as sound knowledge of the waste industry, Christian has successfully delivered major infrastructure projects, and holds a Prince2 certification.

Dylan Gilbert

New to Melbourne from Perth, Dylan wears multiple hats at SALT. He is passionate about creating a better world and improving people’s lives. His positivity is contagious and encourages our office to challenge the norm. He loves working alongside the open minded and motivated individuals at SALT who are constantly introducing him to new concepts.
Dylan graduated from ECU with a Bachelor of Business, Majors in Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations.

Senior Associate

Ernie Mensforth

Ernie joined SALT after 15 years as an Associate at Cardno and a short-lived retirement. Throughout his comprehensive career in Traffic Engineering and Transport Planning he has driven the development of Melbourne’s traffic maneuverability with a wealth of knowledge, which he now passes on to our younger team. Some of Ernie’s key clients include Dan Murphy’s, McDonalds and Woolworths. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from RMIT.

George joined SALT after 2 years of experience in Traffic Engineering and AutoCAD design. George has engrossed himself in projects since his inception to the team and persistently challenges himself in order to seek improvement and enlightenment. George graduated from RMIT in 2015 with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil & Infrastructure).

Jarrod Wicks

Jarrod has 12 years industry experience in both private consulting and local government. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Monash University. He is experienced in the preparation and presentation of expert evidence at VCAT and is a VicRoads accredited Senior Road Safety Auditor. Jarrod has an aura of calm and steadiness. His unwavering stability in the office adds to his professionalism which gives our young team support and counsel. His dedication to excellence is shown through his work and loyal clients.

Jo Garretty

With a Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Master of Business Administration, Jo has significant technical and project expertise and over 16 years of industry experience. Her commitment to quality engineering solutions and client service is facilitated by professional communication and engagement skills and proven industry expertise. Jo is also an experienced expert witness. She has made regular appearances at VCAT since 2008.



Office Coordinator

Kristi Caughley

Born in New Zealand, Kristi has spent most of her life experiencing what the world has to offer. Having lived and worked in 4 countries, Kristi has called Melbourne home for the past 17 years. Kristi joined SALT in 2017 as Office Coordinator with 10 years experience in administration. She is the first point of contact and instrumental to our office running peacefully.

Lily Bailleux

Born in France, Lily graduated from Esicad with a Bachelor in Marketing and Communication in 2014 and finished her Diploma of Tourism in 2015. Lily’s organisational skills and self motivation contribute to each of our team on an individual level to help finalise projects. Her cheerful wit and humour are welcome and have helped her acclimatise to the Australian way of life.

Accounts Coordinator

Michelle Traugott

Michelle has lived all of her adult life here in Melbourne. After a full career in the Medical Profession, she decided on a career change and has been our Accounts Coordinator since inception. Michelle’s warm heart is felt whether in the office or working from home. Now in her semi retirement, she spends most of her time cooking, reading, gardening or spending time with her gorgeous little Cavalier, Lady.

Michael Bell

Michael comes from a family line of engineers and has excelled since joining SALT. He finds enjoyment being part of a team who designs, develops or maintains infrastructure to be used by future generations. Michael is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering at RMIT and is an undergraduate engineer at SALT.

Mitch Webster

Mitch is currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Sustainable Systems) (Honours) at RMIT and is an undergraduate engineer at SALT. His passion for living in a clean and functional city drives his learnings in the industry and shines through his work. Working in a small team he has been given responsibility working on a diverse range of development projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Oussama graduated from Victoria University in 2014 with Honours in Engineering (Civil). Oussama joined SALT in 2017 with 4 years industry experiences including working in Lebanon for 2 years. He completed his first Bachelor’s degree at America University and brings international understanding to local projects.

Rachel graduated from RMIT in 2015 with a Bachelor of Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering (Honours). Rachel has 2 years industry experience. Rachel’s humble yet driven personality sees excellence delivered without compromise. She takes pride in her work and ownership of tasks ensuring the accurate and precise completion on time and to budget.

Ruwanmal Palapathwala

Ruwanmal is a Civil Engineering and Finance dual major who has recently joined SALT on a 12-month professional placement program. He is energetic about creating transport systems which efficiently connect people and believes in their capacity to greatly enhance the productivity of cities.
