4 Years of SALT
SALT was established in the regional township of Bairnsdale (East Gippsland) in 2011 by James Brownlie as Sustainable Transport Surveys (STS) and quickly established a reputation for the provision of high quality traffic engineering solutions and professional service.
In July 2014 Jo Garretty joined SALT as company director and an office opened in Fitzroy, Melbourne. 2014 also marked our name change to SALT – representing our company values of Service, Approachability, Loyalty and Transparency.
SALT respects and emulates the company philosophy, values and traffic engineering expertise of Grogan Richards, where James and Jo initially formed their professional connection in 2003.
Over the 10 years at Grogan Richards and under the tutelage of founders including Des Grogan, SALT directors James and Jo have been involved in numerous high profile projects across Victoria and interstate and have developed a sound and practical understanding of traffic engineering.
The rebranding of SALT was undertaken to give the firm a modern look with the inclusion of orange to respect Grogan Richards and remind SALT directors where their professional careers commenced and the positive impact history has provided.
In January 2015, SALT moved from Fitzroy into a new office at 289 Wellington Parade South, East Melbourne. We currently have 7 full time staff and provide services in all aspects of traffic engineering, traffic consultants, transport planning and road safety auditing.
When you choose to do business with SALT you are partnering with a company that will add value to your project. Our attitude toward great service and helping others makes our culture inviting and has resulted in SALT’s outstanding reputation.
At SALT we provide a range of services including pedestrian modelling, green travel planning, and more. Contact us today for more info!
