Analysing traffic impacts
In December 2013, SALT was engaged to decrease the environmental impacts associated with traffic in the Glen Waverley area.
This involved executing occupancy and duration-of-stay analysis of 2,300 parking spaces, conducting turning movement and origin-destination surveys and reviewing existing public transport accessibility.
In consultation with bus operators, VicRoads, Public Transport Victoria (PTV), Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure (DTPLI), VicTrack and other stakeholders, we developed a revised road network.
Our 6-stage proposed changes encompass increased use of train, bus, cycling and walking options as well as improved access to parking spaces.
Providing expert evidence
In 2016, we provided expert evidence as part the Monash Planning Scheme (Amendment C120). This amendment seeks to incorporate the Glen Waverley Activity Centre Structure Plan into the planning scheme.
