MetungTown Centre

We were engaged to improve parking access and improve pedestrian circulation in the Metung town centre.

This involved reviewing the pedestrian and bicycle network, traffic movement surveys and conducting duration-of-stay analysis of the existing parking network.

Extensive community consultation also played a key role in the development of our 5, 10 and 20 year projections for the township. This encompassed in-depth one-on-one consultations, workshops, public forums and drop-in sessions.

Our final recommendations proposed the introduction of a pedestrian shared zone on the main street, removal of some parking areas in the town centre and improved enforcement of parking restrictions.
