SALT was engaged by Mammoth Projects in 2018 to prepare a Traffic Impact Assessment Report for the proposed development of a Childcare Centre. The project involved the conversion of the lower floor of an existing multi-storey office into a childcare centre, reclaiming some of the on-site parking to provide an outdoor playscape.

The removal of existing on-site parking required a strong case to be made to Council in order to gain approval for the works. To assist, SALT commissioned car parking utilisation surveys of the road network most likely to be used for drop-off and pick-up activities and assessed traffic volumes to determine the impact of the proposed development. Furthermore, SALT provided design advice to update the existing car park was to meet relevant design standards. We were happy to contribute to the project team and ultimately gain the client approval from council to proceed.
