Jo is a senior road safety auditor and has high level skills integrating transport, sustainability, waste and environment. She enjoys working with both public and private sectors and is passionate about facilitating positive outcomes for clients and the environment.

Jarrod’s ability to appreciate the ‘big picture’ is complemented by his strong level of technical expertise and deep understanding of town planning and statutory processes. He is passionate about his work, evident by his positive outlook, attention to detail and can-do attitude Managing a team and working within our team environment is one of the most rewarding aspects of Chris’ work. He particularly enjoys building and maintaining relationships with colleagues and clients, some over many years, while delivering considered and effective solutions on-time and within budget. His project experience is wide ranging including design for aviation, bicycles, highways, public transport, parking, road safety audit and all manner of developments, both private and public. As well as drawing upon his significant project experience, Chris consistently achieves solid understanding of client and project requirements, taking into consideration industry, state and national standards.

Tom is SALT’s Waste Leader with substantial experience in waste management, environmental management and sustainability projects across both public and private sectors. This extends to waste strategy and policy, waste audit and composition analysis, waste infrastructure design and approvals projects, technology reviews and feasibility studies, equipment selection and procurement, environmental compliance monitoring and risk assessment, as well as environmental and sustainability advisory roles on a range of infrastructure projects spanning transport, water and waste. Tom spent several years in local government where he developed a strong understanding of council waste management processes, requirements and challenges. He enjoys assisting clients with the many challenges and opportunities experienced in the waste sector.
JAMIE FRENCH

Jamie has significant experience delivering multi-disciplinary projects from initial concept design, functional and concept of operations through to implementation, contract management and beyond. He brings expertise across tier one, local and state government entities to SALT with a strong analytical, technical, and commercial background. Jamie’s capabilities merge project vision, outcomes, and requirements through a combination of understanding stakeholder needs with technical, functional, and practical design. Jamie’s experience with management and collaboration of and within large-scale design teams ensures all elements of delivery are aligned for seamless delivery. This proven approach facilitates transport and sustainable development projects, minimising risk and conflict by ensuring all project and stakeholder objectives are understood and catered for during each project phase.
Matthew Duffy

Matthew graduated from Monash University and has gained substantial experience from a wide variety of projects of varying scale and size, for a range of clients across both the public and private sectors throughout Australia. Matthew is often involved throughout the entire life cycle of new development projects, from feasibility through to delivery, which has gained him exposure to Clients, Architects, Authorities and Project Managers alike. He is also involved in the preparation of expert evidence statements for VCAT and has provided peer review assessments of town planning applications to various Councils, furthering his understanding of Council expectations whilst appreciating practical design solutions.

Tony has worked with some of Melbourne’s largest traffic engineering companies/firms and has extensive knowledge of traffic and transport planning to assist in projects for both the private and public sectors. He is typically involved throughout the entire life cycle of development projects and prides himself in providing sound traffic engineering advice and delivering project to a high quality with efficiency and on budget. With a focus on Traffic Impact Assessments for Development Proposals, Tony has a strong eye for detail in the undertaking of detailed traffic and parking impact analysis for a range of project types. Tony is also experienced in the preparation and presentation of expert evidence at VCAT.

Ian has gained substantial and diverse international and local experience in civil, traffic & road safety engineering, through the planning, design, and implementation of numerous road safety and transportation projects. His project experience spans many sectors including local and state government, private development, land division, health, education, energy and mining. He is a DIT & VicRoads accredited Senior Road Safety Auditor, Restricted Access Vehicle Route Assessor and Safe Systems Assessor and has over 11 years’ experience specialising in road safety. He has conducted road safety assessments for over 15,000km of Australia’s regional state and local road network, providing deep insight into many issues and challenges faced on the rural road network. He is actively involved within the industry and currently represents Engineers Australia on Australian Standards Committee MS-012.

Egan is a highly knowledgeable traffic designer with experience in MicroStation and a knack for problem solving. He has been exposed to a diverse range of projects from small developments to major government funded projects that have included tasks such as: concept and functional layout plans of various sizes, traffic signal plans, sign face design, carpark design, and turn lane treatments. As well as traffic management plans and construction staging plans. Egan’s involvement throughout these projects has included undertaking site inspections, survey and data collection, design and drafting, as well as providing technical advice in relation to the design of the project.
MAHSA AMIN
Senior ESD Consultant
Mahsa joined SALT in 2023, having gained numerous years’ experience in ESD, building sustainability, and energy efficiency. She is an Accredited Green Star Professional (GSAP) with Green Star Buildings and has prior experience in Green Star rating and Green Star energy modelling. She has gained an extensive understanding of local government ESD guidelines and requirements having worked on SDA and SMP reports for a wide range of developments. Her experience includes building thermal modelling, services modelling, and writing NCC performance solutions for complex and challenging projects. With a background in mechanical services engineering, Mahsa has been able to assist project teams by proposing low-cost and efficient services to compensate for expensive building fabric and glazing upgrades and saves thousands of dollars for a range of government and private clients.

Lewis completed a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) at Swinburne University. While finishing his degree, Lewis spent two years working with SALT as an undergraduate engineer, before joining full-time where he has become an invaluable team member for both his skills and mentoring ability. He has had the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects from small scale residential developments to larger scale retail developments. Through this, Lewis has developed strong traffic engineering skills including traffic impact assessments, design, swept path assessment, road safety auditing, data analysis and intersection modelling.

Claudia has completed a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) at Monash University. She joined the SALT team as a work experience student during her final year of university as has continued in a full-time capacity. Claudia is a passionate engineer with a strong work ethic, high attention to detail and a desire (and ability) to learn anything that comes her way. Claudia strives to provide high quality technical analyses and reporting for various project types.

Harry joined SALT in 2023 with prior experience in the waste management industry and in managing sustainability outcomes for built infrastructure and assets. His experience includes waste management strategy, resource recovery, circular economy and environmental design, environmental compliance and approvals for waste infrastructure. Harry provides practical solutions for the waste management and built environment sector. Having experience in local government delivering sustainable waste management solutions to increase landfill diversion, improve circular economy outcomes and emission reductions across operations and service delivery. He aims to create sustainable communities, where best practice waste management and environmentally design methods are placed at the forefront.

Bernhard joined SALT in September 2023 upon migrating to Australia from South Africa, where he had gained substantial experience in traffic engineering and transport planning. He possesses a keen ability to attend to detail and always strives to find common sense solutions to any challenge. He has been involved in various projects that range from residential developments to regional logistics and commercial developments. His skills include traffic modelling and impact assessments, road and transport master planning, site access, layout, and circulation assessments, data analysis, and road section and intersection design.
