SALT was engaged by Arhictectus in 2017 provide design advice on the Victorian School Building initiative which was to develop 30 Developmental Schools across Victoria. Specifically, SALT was engaged with two schools:

• Yarrabah Special Development School; and
• Bayside Special Development School

The problems we faced during the two projects were very similar, getting busses onsite and resolve pre-existing car park design issues. Parents wished to have larger spaces to accommodate for disabled children whilst the client didn’t want to sacrifice space on-site for other facilities. Our expertise left both parties satisfied as well as enabling busses to manoeuvre through small suburban streets which were previously regarded intolerable.

We were delighted when given the opportunity to work on such meaningful projects and look forward to working on similar projects in the near future.
