Status: 2018 work in Progress
Project value: $88 million
Vision 2020 is an $88.1 million redevelopment project transforming State Library Victoria. Designed by award-winning architects Achitectus and Schmidt Hammer Lasson, Vision 2020 will open 40% more space, transform Library services and provide greater access to the world’s best knowledge.
SALT worked with Architectus from 2016-2018 providing traffic engineering expertise for the State Library’s Vision 2020 redevelopment. Our services included pedestrian analysis and modelling, strategic advice regarding external public realm modifications, negotiations with authorities, improvements to pedestrian access and designing for bicycles, loading, buses, cars and people. Our services are ongoing and we look forward to seeing the completion, with its first phase to be delivered on 21 September 2018. Find out more at vision2020.slv.vic.gov.au
