Associate Traffic Engineer / Designer 

Requirements

  • Values exceptional customer service above all
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in Traffic Engineering and/or Design
  • Background in consulting or government in either Australia or the UK
  • Proven project management experience
  • You will bring expertise, leadership and mentorship, helping others improve
  • Ability to develop relationships at senior levels
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Responsibilities

  • Go above and beyond for clients with innovative contemporary solutions
  • Manage and mentor our young design team to deliver smart forward thinking solutions
  • Manage complex projects from beginning to end
  • Ensure regular and effective communication with all stake holders
  • Deliver projects to cost, schedule, technical and quality standards
  • Bring your credible profile to maintain existing and establish new relationships within the industry
  • Develop proposals for projects within own ability, with the expectation and desire to learn new skills and grow your repertoire

 Senior Traffic Engineer / BDM, Sydney 

Requirements

  • SALT are looking for an entrepreneurial industry expert motivated to join our team and grow the business. The chosen candidate will be a self-starting people’s person, driven by success and expanding our footprint in NSW.
  • As Business Development Manager, your primary focus is to use your relationship building skills and our unique product and service offering for client acquisition. You will be a pro-active go-getter that won’t let anything get in your way of success. Networking is second nature as you believe that in every conversation is a new opportunity.
  • Be able to adopt both a leading and strategic role within the business whereby you are able to manage any project of varying size and complexity and are responsible for the deliverables and profitability of these projects.
  • Our team culture is something that really sets us apart. It is important that you have flexible working arrangements, be adaptable and represent SALT in our stereotypically niche fashion.
  • In addition, you will actively initiate and undertake continuous improvement activities within the operations of SALT and be responsible for the successful implementation of such initiatives.
  • 4+ years’ experience in consulting or government

Responsibilities

  • You will be expected to work with our Melbourne team on selected projects whilst establishing greater presence in NSW. Time management and flexibility is vital.
  • Creating and maintaining strong relationships with key contacts in existing and new accounts.
  • Regular reporting, invoicing and managing projects.
  • Fortnightly leadership conference calls with our Melbourne office.
  • Ensures constant communication with clients (internal/external), especially at senior levels, throughout the life of the project.
  • Active contribution to our growth strategy and wider business plan.
  • Represents SALT at client (internal/external) meetings as the senior team member.
  • Advises clients (internal/external) on improved solutions that may not have been initially considered.
  • Strategic brainstorming and implementation of new business development initiatives.
  • Actively promotes SALT to client and outside networks, as appropriate.
  • It is expected you spend at least 2-3 months in our Melbourne office when commencing with SALT. During this time you will get to know the team, understand our special culture, and get a granular understanding of the projects we specialise in and how we plan to expand the business. We understand this will be difficult for most, therefor we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate. Living arrangements will be organized.

    Senior Transport Engineer  

    Requirements

  • Background in consulting or government in either Australia or the UK
  • Proven project management experience
  • You will bring expertise, leadership and mentorship, helping others improve
  • Ability to develop relationships at senior levels
